Ask for referrals from
family and friends.
Also ask the other wedding service providers such as photographers and
florist; they often have a listing.
Go beyond just the Yellow Pages. Ask
the videographers you talk to for referrals
and testimonials from other brides. Experience, shooting style, cameras and editing
equipment are all
very important factors. Realize that price is an important
consideration,
but it is not the only consideration. No price is "good" if, in the
end, you are unhappy with the finished product.
Ask how long the video studio has been
in
business, how many weddings
they've done, what professional organizations they are affiliated with
and if they have ever videotaped a wedding or reception in
the location where you plan to be married.
These questions are good "ice breakers"
and allow you
to begin to establish a dialogue with the videographer. This is
important
because you'll want to work with a video studio that you feel
comfortable with and confident
in.
